About Timothy J. Maher
Timothy J. Maher is a Maryland attorney who concentrates his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. A graduate of Georgetown University and The University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Tim began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Greene County, Pennsylvania in 2004. Tim relocated to Maryland in 2011 and continued his work as a trial attorney with the Calvert County State’s Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant State’s Attorney, Tim prosecuted a variety of misdemeanor and felony offenses with a concentration on Domestic Violence cases. In 2022, Tim was promoted to Deputy State’s Attorney where he supervised the Circuit Court attorneys and prosecuted violent felonies. In 2026, Tim brought his extensive trial experience to Sasscer, Clagett & Bucher where he diligently works to bring about the best outcomes for his clients in the courtroom.
