The Latin American Team is led by Daniel Renart, Esq., and his assistant, Barbie Cotto-Lopez. Together, they provide diversity and cultural knowledge to the firm from various Latin American backgrounds, including Ecuador, Uruguay and Puerto Rico. Mr. Renart has spent time in Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Columbia, Panama, Belize, Uruguay, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Renart has maintained strong connections with his Latin American heritage, his mother and father being from Ecuador and Uruguay, respectively. Both Mr. Renart and his assistant, Ms. Cotto-Lopez, grew up speaking Spanish at home.

Sasscer, Clagett & Bucher has five former States Attorneys all working together as a team, so there is always an experienced criminal lawyer that may be reached on short notice.

Mr. Renart is a graduate of George Washington University and the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.

Mr. Renart attended Gonzaga-College High School in Washington, D.C. and also the Argentinean School. (Escuela Argentina) Mr. Renart then went on to obtain dual bachelors degrees at George Washington University in both Psychology and Spanish Literature.
